What is the going price? Fury Boy New from mancini there like $200 for a 904, $400 for a 727.... John Russo A&A has them for $175. Trumpanche I put the low gears in my 904 (thanks Stricnine!), but they honestly didn't make my car any faster. In fact, I couldn't even tell much difference. If you have to pay for them, I would stick with your factory gears... Maybe others have had different experiences. I ran the car in the 1/8th before and after the switch and got identical e.t.'s Deadon340 WE HAVE THEM FOR $156.10 PART # 904100 2.77 Richard I would say that with your combo the low gear set would work well. Would give you better low end grunt on the street and the 1-2 drop can easily be covered by the engine. Challenger So what years of 904s were the low gear sets in? John Russo The 2.74 1st gear set first came out in 1980 in certain models. 1981+ all 904, 998, 999's had the 2.74 1st and a 5 clutch wide front drum. Most were lock-up converters. John GY3 'Cuda I got my low gear planetaries and sun gear from Neal Chance Transmissions here in Wichita. A good local transmission shop should be able to help you out. If it's a street car or you're on street tires at the track with limited traction already I wouldn't bother with it. It's not worth the time and effort. all info provided be board members listed above.
