I can't imagine why not-the main problem with the stock one, insufficient drainback, appears to have been cured with yours.

Glen ,
thats pretty nice...what did you do, cut three sides bend the tabs and then just fill the sides with little triangles of scrap sheet metal?

Looks good to me. I have a modified one on my 440. I just bought the Milidon one for the 451 instead of reworking another MP tray.

Todd, actually I started with a long rectangular piece of metal, bent the ends into the trianular tab peices and then just traced it onto the tray, cut the whole rectangle shape out of the tray and then welded them together. Again, no big deal. Had it done before lunch. The hardest part is cutting out the holes in the tray. The die grinder with the cutoff wheel comes in handy there.

The only one I've seen is from Dvorak Machine. It's not cheap, and it's not a "bolt on", either.

John, either throw the MP one in the garbage and buy a Milodon tray or have the MP opened up more and have some more louvers stamped in it.

JohnRR - with a little ingenuity you should be able to cut out the middle of the MP tray and attach an aftermarket screen material to it...why buy the Milodon tray if you're only going to cut it up anyway?
The Dvorak piece isn't a direct Bolt-in, it requires some dowel pins or some slight block modifications to positively locate it on the block.

Milodon sells the screen material seperately. You could hack out the middle of the MP "oil retainer tray", and weld in the screen.

John--
I got the "one-way" screen for mine (4.15 stroke)from Moroso through Summitt $29.95.
Cut and fit it, and you've got it!!

As Jerico said , and I use it also , the Milodon 32000 windge tray has plenty of louver area to be affective.

what i was told that is a bad about flat trays is that the oil can splash back up because it basicly slamming into a wall , there is less problem with a screen that allows it to fall thru instead of having to redirect to drain ??????

JohnRR,
True Dan is not the most helpful guy at times. Some days you call him and can't shake him from the phone. Other days, one question is too many. Here's a photo of his kit. It takes some engineering to get on. Definitely NOT a bolt on and go product. I used the MOPAR unit on my 440 and modified it to drain back properly buy cutting some more holes as Dan recommended. On the 493", I just used the Deep Pan NO tray.

Here's a photo may help you craft your solution!
