I am in search of a Flexplate for the 511ci.
What are you using in your motors, do you have a stock or after-market?
If it is an after-market, who is the manufacture?
Any dislikes, why?
I have one from the 361ci I pulled from my car.
Any suggestions or use the one I have.

Personally I feel that B&M are the best and I believe JW in Rockledge makes a similar neutral balance version.
The stock ones with the cut-outs within the ears are not for serious performance applications.

The Mopar Perf. versions with the solid ears are much better, but I have cracked a few over time.

B&M and JW are round and solid. Plus you get a variety of bolt holes and patterns which vary depending on what the converter manufacturer uses. If I recall correctly, there is a large and small pattern for the small bolts and a small pattern for the big bolts.(often used on race-only converters)

Nick....Use a SFI approved Flexplate. That puny stocker from the 361 ain't gonna cut it at the track. I got mine from Hughes up here in Phoenix.

Nick..if its SFI then it should be date coded, and needs to be current.

B&M flexplate here on a cast crank 440. I had flexplate ballanced with the crank and harmonic.

I just picked it up at Don's, date coded
7-02.
Not what I wanted the date to be, but at least he had one and it was the only one.

TCI makes a good one, nice and solid along with being SFI certified. I don't know if Hughes makes one but they probably do. Former NHRA S/Gas Champ Ed Destaute is sponsered by a shop (Reactor Products) out of So. Cal that makes really nice aluminum ones as well. I had to write out the name to remember the shop. They are SFI certified as well.

I use an MP one for my 446 and a B&M one for my 493 as it has the eight bolt flange.

Havent had a B&M one break yet. My 340 used to eat stock flexplates for lunch. I finally wised up and put in the B&M.

I bought a MP flex plate. Looks like the stock one I took out except for the sfi sticker. The stock one never gave me any probs though.
