Moparts Tech ArchiveTech Misc. InfoWheel Well Trim 69 1/2 six pack guys??tilt Could a 69 6pk roadrunner have been built with wheel lip moldings? How about AAR's??? ====================================== AAR's for sure,RR's,I doubt it =================================== No 69 RR's with wheel lip mouldings. But all A12 'Bee's had them. =================================== LON Do I remember correctly, that most of the RR's with wheel mouldings were dealer installed items? ==================================== My 691/2 M-code bee has them, but I haven't seen any 69 1/2 M-code runners with them. Thats odd, I wonder why =================================== I don't think that wheel opening moldings were available on any 69 Road Runners. ================================== Wheel lip trim was optional on RRs. Option code M26 in 1969 and 1970. Not sure about 440-6 cars, though. They were standard on Super Bees because Dodge was always a higher scale company than Plymouth. ================================== When I bought my ’69 ½ RR it had GTX trim on it. I was told there are photos of my car, dated 1970 or ’71, that show the car with the GTX, lower side and fender moldings. I have been trying to find someone in the Youngstown, Ohio or Baldwinsville, New York area that may have known this car and has info to help me figure out if this GTX trim and rear antenna, were owner, dealer or factory installed. I think that the GTX trim was owner installed (should the fender tag show this?) and the antenna was a dealer relocation from a Chrysler service bulletin but the car is one of two that are known at this time to have been painted in Y4 Spanish Gold Metallic, it has a clock, vinyl roof and power steering, so who really knows, anything was possible? ====================================
