Registered: Jun 2000 posted 06-30-2002 11:05 PM ok i pulled this stuff off almost 3 yaers ago and it will be going back on monday or tuesday! been so long was it just crimped on to hold it in a few spots or did MA MOPAR put some sort of glue as well? thanks for any input TA152H1 I yanked mine off in December. From what I remember there was a strip of double-sided tape securing the moulding in a couple of locations. I can't say that the tape was from the factory. My RR had bodywork done at some point in its life. It may have been installed then. 4speeds4me No tape on any one I've ever taken off. No tape on any one I've ever put back on. TC The few I've pulled had tape under them, but they were all 66-67 B cars if that makes a difference Rich69RR Never seen them with any tape. They should go on with no adhesives.. unless there is an issue with the area you're putting them on. dodg66440 I don't know about all years, but I can say for sure that there is no tape ob 66-67 b-body cars. They just snap on over ther rail. bee1971 just pulled the original vinyl top on my 71 bee-no tape, just snapped right on with new top 340-4 I do not remember if it was my drip rail trim or the trim under that, that goes above the door and quarter window on my Challenger but it did have somekind of foam type of tape under it. gtxmark '66-'67 b-body,I've got 5 of them..#3 of them had skinny foam type adhesive stuff under them... TC Same here, in the past 7-8 years I've had 5 66-67 cars, three had tape, one I know for sure had never been repainted, other two, not sure about. Two did not have any tape at all. info provided by members listed above
