Currently being run a a '76 model Plymouth Duster, I sometimes
change years to fit different classes @ different weights in IHRA
Stock Eliminator. It uses a 360/300hp Commando engine and 904 trans
to run in K/CM (crate motor or corporate manufacture) @ 3,470 lbs.
Best ETs are in the mid-11.70's @ 110mph+.
With a lot of help, I was fortunate to be the first Mopar "crate
motor" combo to win an IHRA divisional and national event in 1999
and finished the season #3.
I was also runner-up in Sportsman (footbrake) ET at the NHRA
Division 2 1/4-mile ET Finals.
Plans are to continue in IHRA Stock and NHRA ET as time and finances
permit.
The Stock "crate motor" classes are growing quickly, and with the
new combos that Mopar has, it should be an interesting season.
